Kevin Costner ‘not really thinking’ about Yellowstone finale.

That’s Yellowstone star Kevin Costner’s reaction to the hit series’ shocking finale and his rumoured feud with co-star Luke Grimes, who played his youngest son on the show.

Costner, 69, made the comments in a video obtained by the Daily Mail when asked about both while in Aspen just days after the finale aired and weeks after his Yellowstone character John Dutton was killed off in a faked suicide.

“I’m not really thinking about [the Yellowstone finale], I don’t think I’ve given it any thoughts, we’ll just let it go,’” said Costner.

The Oscar winner also shut down a question about his alleged feud with Grimes and revealed he hadn’t been in contact with him since the finale aired.

“No, we’re done talking,” said Costner.

Costner’s character was killed in a murder-for-hire during the first few minutes of the premiere of Yellowstone’s season five part two with the the plot initially indicating he had committed suicide by gunshot.

The actor acrimoniously exited the show over scheduling conflicts with his Western movie franchise Horizon.

Grimes told PEOPLE it was “always the plan” to have John die.

“You lose a patriarch of the family. Can the kids do it on their own?’ he said to the magazine.

He admitted, “there’s been some negative reactions” to Dutton’s death, which was first called a suicide and later revealed as a hit performed by a company specializing in making homicides look like deaths by suicides or accidents.

“I think they feel sort of cheated. And what I would say to that is, I think we were all lucky to have Kevin on the show as long as we did,” said Grimes.
