Yellowstone star ‘surrounded by his kids’ as he faces ‘lonely’ Christmas following divorce
Kevin Costner has endured some challenging times over the past year. The actor, known for his role in Molly’s Game and more recently Yellowstone, has recently faced the hardship of a public divorce after nearly two decades of marriage and now finds himself single at 69.
Adding to the strife, Costner exited the cast of the hit neo-western series Yellowstone amidst whispers of off-screen disputes to focus on his dream project Horizon, which unfortunately did not succeed at the box office.
Even with the difficulties encountered in 2024, the Academy Award winner is finding solace by drawing close to his six children, who are offering their support, particularly around the festive season.
Amid speculation from admirers of Jennifer Lopez that Costner may be her ‘new beau’ following sightings together in Aspen and after breaking his silence on the much-debated Yellowstone finale labeled as ‘the worst in TV history,’ Costner continues to rely on family ties.
The celebrated actor is a parent to grown-ups Annie (40), Lily (38), and Joe (36), his children with first wife Cindy Silva. He also has three young ones, Cayden Wyatt (17), Hayes Logan (15), and Grace Avery (14) with Christine Baumgartner, who is 50 years .
The split between Christine and Kevin was finalised in February after the initial filing in May 2023.
A confidant speaking with Life and Style magazine conveyed that “His kids from both ex-wives get along great and they’re banding together to take care of him now, keeping his spirits up through the loneliness of the holidays and everything else he’s had to deal with.”
Following his tough breakup with Christine, the Academy Award-winning actor departed from the successful Paramount series Yellowstone due to clashes in his schedule with the movie Horizon. Despite a hefty $100 million budget, the film suffered at the box office, earning just a tad over $30 million.
