Kevin Costner Celebrates New Addition to the Family.
Kevin Costner Welcomes a New Furry Family Member
Kevin Costner has recently added a new member to his family: a white Labrador puppy he lovingly calls Bob. The Yellowstone star couldn’t contain his excitement during a recent interview with Jimmy Fallon, where he shared delightful anecdotes about the adorable pup.
In his appearance on The Tonight Show, where he was promoting his upcoming film Horizon: An American Saga, Costner revealed that while fans were eager to hear about the movie, it was Bob who stole the spotlight. After some prompting from Fallon, Costner opened up about his new furry friend, whom he introduced to the world on Instagram earlier this year.
“I’ve got a buddy named Bob,” Costner said, prompting laughter from the audience. Fallon playfully questioned the name, to which Costner explained that he only calls the dog “Bob” when he’s upset; otherwise, he refers to him as “Bobby.” The audience couldn’t get enough as Fallon showcased adorable photos of the pup.
One particularly charming picture showed Bob sleeping with his head resting on the door of an open dishwasher. “He waits for me while I do the dishes,” Costner noted. “I do all the work, and he does everything else.” The story behind the photo was even more amusing. Costner had been searching for Bob, thinking he might be chewing on something he shouldn’t, only to find the pup snoozing contentedly in the dishwasher.
While Costner is busy with his press tour for Horizon: An American Saga, he’s not at home with Bob as much as he’d like. The film, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival to an impressive 11-minute standing ovation, took him 30 years to complete. It will be released in four parts, focusing on the expansion and settlement of the American West during the pre- and post-Civil War era.
The first part is set to hit theaters on June 28, with Chapter 2 following on August 16. Release dates for the final two parts are yet to be announced.
