Kevin Costner Teases Potential Continuation of ‘Yellowstone’ Storyline
Kevin Costner Hints ‘Yellowstone’ Storyline Isn’t Over Yet
Kevin Costner, 69, may no longer star in the hit Paramount show “Yellowstone,” but he suggests the story might not be finished. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, he reflected on his time with the series, stating, “That’s been a wonderful part of my life. Sometimes, things have a way of circling back.” He acknowledged that while he hasn’t seen any immediate plans, he remains open to revisiting the story: “The five seasons were a lot for us to do. I think that story is not finished.”
While Costner has exited the series, negotiations for a sixth season are reportedly underway. No official deals have been reached, but Cole Hauser and Kelly Reilly are expected to take the lead as the show continues. The second half of season five is set to premiere on November 10, with Costner absent from the cast.
Hauser previously teased the potential for a spinoff focusing on his character Rip and Reilly’s Beth Dutton. “I’m so focused on finishing ‘Yellowstone’ the way it needs to be finished right now,” he stated. He expressed excitement about future creative directions from series creator Taylor Sheridan.
Meanwhile, Costner is moving forward with his own projects, particularly his long-anticipated film “Horizon.” After its premiere, the studio opted to delay the next installment to allow audiences more time to discover the first chapter, which has grossed $23 million in theaters over two weeks.
As Costner embarks on this new chapter of his career, he notes that his children are all grown up now, quipping that he’s no longer their “Uber driver.”
