“We’re Done Talking” – Kevin Costner Shuts Down “Reporter” On Rumored Luke Grimes Feud
Kevin Costner has finally spoken about the finale of Yellowstone. Well, sort of…
TV’s most popular show (at least at one time) finally wrapped up after a long hiatus between parts 1 and 2 of season five. There were many reasons for the delay, including the writers and actors strike, but the main issue that kept delaying the show’s ending was Kevin Costner’s dispute with show creator Taylor Sheridan.
From scheduling to the storyline to a “moral death clause” (whatever that is), it seemed that Yellowstone’s patriarch and the man who thought him into existence didn’t agree on much, which eventually led to Costner’s character (John Dutton) being written out of the show’s ending in a way that had some fans up in arms, though others believed the storyline was better without him.
The show’s finale was certainly interesting and while some claimed it to be worse than Game Of Thrones ending, I have to say that I really didn’t hate it. Sure, it would have been great for John Dutton to still be a part of the show, especially since Costner will now forever be tied to Yellowstone, but it was a foreseeable ending (fans called it for awhile) and really put a nice bow on the entire story arc. Sure, I could sit here and nit pick this or that scene, but all in all I truly believe it was a fine ending and doesn’t deserve the hate it’s received.
