“‘Yellowstone’ Season 5, Part 2 Release Date Announced: Will Kevin Costner Appear?”
Since the premiere of “Yellowstone” Season 5, Part 1 in November 2022, fans have been eagerly anticipating the release of Part 2. For those waiting for the next chapter, the wait is almost over.
When does Season 5, Part 2 of ‘Yellowstone’ premiere?
The highly anticipated second half of Season 5 will debut on November 10, 2024, at 8 p.m. ET on Paramount Network. This announcement was made in June, with a teaser following in August on the “Yellowstone” YouTube channel.
The teaser hints at an epic return, with the caption: “Get your first look at the epic return of Yellowstone. The saga continues November 10, only on Paramount Network.” Although the teaser includes footage of Kevin Costner, he does not appear in any of the promotional photos for Part 2 released so far, sparking speculation about his role. (For more on why Costner might not be returning, read on.)
The long wait for new episodes is largely due to the actors’ and writers’ strikes that affected TV and film production last year. Originally, Part 2 was expected to premiere in November 2023, but the strikes caused delays.
In March, “Yellowstone” star Ian Bohen mentioned to “Entertainment Tonight” that filming for the new episodes had not yet started. He indicated that shooting might begin in May and continue through the summer, with a possible November or December release. However, he noted that schedules can be fluid, and there could be adjustments depending on production timelines.
Will there be a Season 6 of ‘Yellowstone’?
While it was initially believed that Season 5, Part 2 would mark the end of “Yellowstone,” recent reports suggest a potential surprise sixth season. In May 2023, Paramount Network announced that Season 5 would be the series’ conclusion. However, in August, rumors of a sixth season began circulating.
In the meantime, fans can explore more of the “Yellowstone” universe through its prequels: “1923,” which is returning for a second season, and “1883.” Additionally, Paramount has greenlit two new spinoff series: “1944” and one tentatively titled “2024.”
